HI people hope all is well with you. Nice to see you again.
My friend (I do have them) visited Germany Antwerp to be exact. I was invited but did not fancy travelling at the moment. She stayed in a beautiful Olde worldly Hotel called The Pearl and Diamond hotel.
Exquisite little hotel in the old town!”
What a gem this hotel is! The location is ideal, just a couple of blocks from the cathedral on a quiet, picturesque street, but the hotel itself is also incredibly charming. The decor is beautiful, both in the lobby and in the rooms, the perfect combination of antique character and modern convenience. The rooms are filled with beautiful yet functional antique furniture, while the bathrooms are updated, sleek, modern and very stylish. There are lots of thoughtful touches too: stocked minibar, coffee/tea-making facilities, fast (and free!) wifi, silver hooks for hanging jackets. The staff is exceptionally welcoming and helpful, and the breakfast is a feast. Really, this is one of her favourite hotels ever. Highly recommend! I would love to go there!!
Antwerp’s red light district is the ideal base between the bustling city centre and the trendy Eilandje neighbourhood. While this part of Antwerp traditionally has been the realm of the ladies of the night, nowadays it has much more to offer to visitors to the city.
Antwerp’s red light district was known around the world. In recent years, however, the number of premises used for prostitution was drastically reduced as a result of the concentration of all activities to a zone of just three streets where prostitution is condoned. Are you curious to learn more about the red light district? Then why don’t you visit for a guided group tour of Schipperskapelstraat, . Find out for yourself why this neighbourhood is so worthwhile.
Ashley I need a holiday any takers xx
