Happy Haunting

Halloween is the spookiest night of the year.
It's also a boon to the retail industry. In the US, spending on costumes and candy may reach a record high this year (see Below)

The popularity of Halloween is growing exponentially. Americans spend over $5 billion dollars annually on Halloween, making it the country’s second largest commercial holiday. In addition, a quarter of all annual candy sales occur during the Halloween season in the United States. What is it about Halloween that makes October 31 so popular? Perhaps it's the mystery--or just the candy? Perhaps the excitement of a new costume NO its both especially the candy

Halloween celebration where little kids dress up and get candy teens dress up, get drunk, and go get candy, and adults dress up, get drunk, and give out candy, funny how things all work out.

I am sure we all remember the Movie Halloween I was scared for months!!!

Halloween is the spookiest night of the year.
It's also a boon to the retail industry. In the US, spending on costumes and candy may reach a record high this year.

And the Halloween fever isn't contained to the States, either. In fact, its an around the world thing. But where did all these strange practices come from? Turns out, a lot of these customs date back centuries. The holiday has changed over time, transforming from an ancient tradition to the flashy fright-fest we know and love today. Let's take a look at one of our favorite Halloween traditions:

Halloween has come to be most closely associated with the pumpkin, but apples have played an important role in its history. After all, apples make numerous appearances in Celtic mythology and are often connected to the Otherworld.

Bobbing for apples remains a popular party game.
The reason? Well, the practice used to be considered a form of divination performed around Halloween, That's right people would dunk their heads in a vat of water and try to bite into floating fruit in a quest to figure out their future spouse. Ladies would mark an apple and toss it into the tub. The thinking was they'd be destined to whoever pulled it out of the water.

_Halloween is my favorite holiday. I'm going to dress-up as a cat or Madonna for Halloween. Not sure about the Apple dunking when I have my Make up on._
